Friday, December 29, 2006 WAR Ends 2006 at Pfizer, Bristol-Myers and Sanofi Demo #1 - Sanofi Aventis - Huntingdon Life Sciences Customer This was our first time at the New York City, Investor Relations Office of drug company giant, Sanofi Aventis. Sanofi is a long time customer of Huntingdon Life Sciences and it is their contracts and their money that allow HLS to stay in the animal killing business. We think that Sanofi’s neighbors and investors deserve to know the truth about their unholy alliance with the notorious animal prison camps at HLS. Just a short walk from Grand Central Station this is a highly trafficked location. No doubt we will be back next year to name and shame the drug dealers at Sanofi Aventis. Demo #2 - Pfizer - Huntingdon Life Sciences Customer Once again, we returned to Pfizer to remind them that we will continue to return until they issue a statement that they will not do business with Huntingdon Life Sciences. Hundreds of whistleblower flyers were distributed, many to Pfizer employees as they left their offices for the last time in 2006. Must suck to work for a company as unethical as Pfizer. Their investors are losing money and employees are losing the jobs and their life savings, while their Executives are living large in New York City. Demo #3 - Bristol-Myers Squibb – Huntingdon Life Sciences Customer Our next stop was the posh executive headquarters of drug company Bristol Myers Squibb another sadly unethical company. Their outgoing CEO Peter Dolan just narrowly escaped prison for BMS’ financial shenanigans. Although guilty of stock fraud, they have been given a “delayed prosecution” and the time to straighten up their act. Since when does a guilty corporation get a “pardon” and time to make things right? Flyers were distributed with contact information on Board Member, James Cornelius, who was appointed Acting CEO of BMS. Cornelius has made it clear that he is not interested in the job on a permanent basis. Can you blame him? Banners and posters showing the bloody mutilated remains of puppies, rabbits and monkeys show the public what crimes are committed so that BMS can keep making money. Demo #4 - Novartis - Huntingdon Life Sciences Customer Our final stop of the evening was the Fifth Avenue Investor Relations Office of HLS customer Novartis. As we approached their office, it was clear that the crowds were too dense to allow us to have a demonstration. Apparently Fifth Avenue was completely jam packed with pre-New Years Eve revelers and NYC tourists and visitors that had come to Rockefeller Center to see the huge dying Christmas tree. There wasn’t even enough room on the sidewalk to hold our banner up. We promise to return early in 2007.
