Friday, December 19, 2008 Prelude to WAR Holiday Party: Fur Demos at MaxMara, Dolce & Gabbana and Home Demo for Barclays HLS Investor On Friday evening, despite the horrible wintery slushy weather conditions, activists gathered in SoHo for the first of a trio of protests before adjourning to their holiday party at a nearby SoHo location. Demo #1: SPORTMAX/MaxMara - SoHo Animal rights activists visited the SoHo location of SPORTMAX, a Max Mara brand of sportswear (yes, even their sportswear has fur on it), to protest Max Mara's continued use of fur and fur trim in their "fashion." The whole world is watching, MaxMara! Drop the fur or face a worldwide boycott and constant demonstrations at your stores! Fur is disgusting and hideous. Wearing it doesn't make you look classy - it makes you look like a fat f*cking grizzly bear. Demo #2: Dolce & Gabbana Activists visited the SoHo location of Dolce and Gabbana in New York City to protest the company's continued use of real fur in their clothing. Dolce & Gabbana, rest assured that your lame attempts to have police intervene on your behalf will not work, as the activists were breaking no laws and only exercising their right to free speech. Dolce and Gabbana, activists will be back again and again until you stop killing animals for their fur! Demo #3: Anil Alturi - Barclays (HLS Investor) Activists visited your home to bring you the message that they want you to use your influence, speak to your superiors and co-workers, and get Barclays to dump their shares of LSR (Huntingdon Life Sciences). You already know this, though, since you spoke to the activists who were protesting your home. Please follow through on your promise to talk to your work mates and bosses and show them the horror that is Huntingdon Life Sciences. Please send them the insidehls.com website and ask them to browse through it. Huntingdon Life Sciences kills 500 animals a day to test pointless garbage like Splenda and bleach. They've been caught in numerous undercover investigations horribly abusing the animals in their care. Anil Alturi, you seem like a compassionate guy, the animals are counting on you to hold to your word and talk to Barclays. We will check back with you. The WAR Holiday Party followed with great friends and food and the screening of the final episode of Whale Wars! A good time was had by all. Video Clips: |
