Demo Report - October 31, 2005 WAR Marches in Support of ALF Win Animal Rights along with the NYALFS (New York Animal Liberation Front Supporters Group) once again marched in solidarity and support of the Animal Liberation Front in NYC's gala Halloween Parade. Thousands watched as a contingent of balaclava and bandanna clad activists marched along NY's Sixth Avenue. Hundreds of flyers were distributed to the crowd with "Trick or Treat" suggestions and lots of addresses of Vivisectors and Furriers. "Trick or Treat, Ken Greiner" After the parade, our group, which was mistaken by many for "ninjas", took a detour to the Fifth Avenue digs of Kenneth Greiner, CEO of Dalton, Greiner, Hartman, Maher and Company (DGHM). DGHM holds over 600,000 shares of LSRI (aka HLS) stock valued at over $6,000,000 but happily worth less as each day goes by. The evening was perfect and the parade passing just a block away ensured a steady flow of traffic past our protest. Flyers were distributed and some passersby joined the demo and helped to pass out literature. Before leaving, various "greetings" and "salutations" were scrawled on the sidewalk in front of the building. When will Ken get the message? "Trick or Treat, Ellen Futter" Our final stop was at Ellen Futter's. Ellen is the President of the American Museum of Natural History and a Director of Bristol-Myers Squibb, major customer of Huntington Life Sciences. WAR has waged a campaign to educate Ms. Futter about the evils of dealing with HLS for several months now. It has recently announced that Ellen V. Futter has resigned her seat on the Board of Directors of Bristol-Myers Squibb effective December 31, 2005. |
