WAR Special Guest at ABC NoRio Punk Show

Super line-up of bands which included a great punk group from Columbia called IRA was set up by our friends at EastRev productions. ABC NoRio was packed to capacity and as always WAR screened The Truth and Time for Action 1, 2 and 3 as well as Strike Back for the jammin’ crowd. Anti-HLS and pro-ALF posters were hung on the walls and literature was distributed freely. Many signed up for the WAR e-mail list and purchased WAR t-shirts.

Whether or not punk is your preference, you should try to come out to one of these shows. The audience included some animal rights activists from Spain, Puerto Rico and South America. This gave us a great opportunity to network and share campaign information. Many of the songs were about social justice, state repression and fighting back for freedom and justice.

As always, WAR’s message of justice for animals was well received and we hope to see many of our new friends at future street protests. If not, we will presume they are fighting for animal liberation in other even more effective ways.
