Demo Reports Friday, September 2, 2005 Win Animal Rights (WAR) started our HLS Customer Day with a visit to Celtic Pharma. Celtic is connected to HLS customer Xenova. As luck would have it, Celtic is in the same building as Cantor Fitzgerald, brokers who have helped make a market for LSRI (HLS) stock. We took the opportunity to distribute literature about both Celtic and Cantor while we were there. Call or write Celtic Pharma's NY office at: Celtic Pharma The next stop was the posh Madison Avenue address of Chugai Pharma, subsidiary of the notorious Roche, one of HLS' biggest customers. Loud chanting attracted the attention of the New York Police Department where once again, in an incredible display of ignorance of their own local ordinances, police officers insisted that a protest permit was required to continue. After checking in with HQ, the police reluctantly told us that we were correct and that a permit was not required. We are thinking of contact NYPD's Legal Department with an offer to train their foot patrolmen on local ordinances pertaining to street protests. It appears that we know the law better than they do. One building resident harassed activists as they protested by standing in front of the banner and blowing smoke in the faces of the protesters. A short but aggressive verbal confrontation ensued….the moron, surrounded by angry protesters, wisely backed off when we made it clear that we would not put up with his nonsense. Hundreds of flyers with Chugai's details were distributed on the busy sidewalk. Call or write to Chugai Pharma's NY office at: Chugai Pharma On the way to our last customer location, we happened to pass the offices of Dalton, Greiner, Hartman, Maher and Company, major investors in LSRI (HLS). We just happened to have our investor specific banner with us as well as literature detailing how Dalton, Greiner holds over 470,000 shares of LSRI stock. A loud and aggressive protest continued for over an hour. Protesters left with promises that they would keep returning until Dalton, Greiner divests and cuts all financial ties with HLS. Call or write Dalton, Grenier at: Dalton, Greiner, Hartman, Maher and Company The last customer stop was at the Investor Relations Office of Novartis located on Fifth Avenue. Novartis is a major customer of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Again, hundreds of flyers were distributed from an educational outreach table set up on the sidewalk immediately in front of their doorway. Traffic was heavy as the demonstrators held posters and banners depicting the atrocities taking place behind the locked doors at the HLS laboratories. Because they are such a good customer of HLS, we spent the longest time at their doorstep, naming and shaming Novartis. Call or write the Novartis Investor Relations NY office at: Novartis USA |
