HLS CEO Baker, Customers: Sanofi, Novartis and Bristol-Myers Squibb & Supplier Staples

Demo #1: Andrew Baker, Chief Puppy Killer – Huntingdon Life Sciences

The last Sunday of the month signaled the time to converge on the home of HLS Head Honcho, Andrew Baker. Baker continues to make his living off of the blood and suffering of 500 innocent animals that are killed every day by the monsters under his direction at the Huntingdon “Death Camps”. Loud voices were raised in unison to let Baker and his wife, Susan, know exactly how others feel about his disgusting company.

A large 15’ banner names and shames Andrew Baker as a “Puppy Killer”. Activists chatted with and also distributed many leaflets to pedestrians strolling down Central Park West. So close to one of Central Park’s dog runs, it is inevitable that neighbors would be outrage to find out that they have a ghoul like Andrew Baker living in their neighborhood. Although activists have long ago conceded that Andrew Baker doesn’t give a damn about the animals he kills nor the fact that he is hated and reviled by his neighbors, they are determined to keep coming to his home to call him out for being the abomination that he is.

Demo #2: Nicole Brier - Sanofi Pasteur

A short walk from Baker’s, activists raised their signs and their voices at the quaint brownstone home of Sanofi-Pasteur’s, Nicole Brier. Sanofi-Pasteur is wholly owned by Sanofi-Aventis, one of Huntingdon Life Science’s largest international customers. The air was filled with the sound of the chanting activists. Neighbors came out of their buildings to talk to activists and take literature about their mission.

Demo #3: Staples @ 2248 Broadway

Next stop for the determined activists was the Staples Office Supply store on Broadway and 82nd Street. This is not the largest Staples store in the city but it is in one of the most popular locations according activists the opportunity to talk to many passersby. Many strolled the avenue with their pampered pooches in tow and expressed horror and outrage to hear about what is being done to dogs and puppies at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Many pledged to call Staples CEO to let them know that they would not shop at Staples until Staples stopped supplying puppy killers.

Demo #4: Dorothy Watson - Novartis General Counsel

Several blocks south of Staples, activists congregated at the luxury hi-rise apartment building of Novartis General Counsel, Dorothy Watson. Since Dorothy lives in the penthouse apartment, activists always feel the need to be louder and stronger at this location.

Placed at the very busy intersection of W. 72nd Street and Broadway, this location is an excellent one for spreading the word about Novartis and their relationship with the animal murderers at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Never willing to miss an opportunity, activists also espouse cruelty free living and alternative to animal tests. Consumers need to know that Novartis products are tested on animals, who suffer and die for vanity and corporate greed.

Demo #5: Lamberto Andreotti - Bristol-Myers Squibb

Although the afternoon was long and tiring for activists, they decided to take the long walk back to Central Park West and W. 64th Street to the opulent home of Lamberto Andreotti, President of one of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s most lucrative businesses. Once again, signs depicting the bloody mutilated remains of puppies, monkeys and cats were held high as voices were again raised.

The evening was perfect for strolling the park; consequently the sidewalks were teeming with pedestrians. Many stopped to speak to activists and to ask questions about their cause. After hearing about the horrors of what goes on behind the locked doors and razor wire fences at Huntingdon Life Sciences and how Bristol-Myers Squibb was complicit, many swore that they would stop buying their products.
