Demo Report
August 26, 2005
On Friday, August 26, 2005, members of Win Animal Rights (WAR) ended
the week the same way they started it, on Wall Street. Activists
arrived in time to greet market makers and investment managers as
they entered the Stock Exchange to begin the day's trading. Once
again, the focus of attention was pharmaceutical giant
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Flyers were distributed and people on "The
Street" were educated about the connection between GSK and Huntingdon
Life Sciences, which trades on the OTCBB as LSRI.
When the morning crowd thinned, activists took their message further
down Wall Street, to the headquarters of the prestigious, Center for
the Encouragement of Corporate Philanthropy (CECP). Jean-Pierre
Garnier, CEO of GSK sits on Board of Directors of the CECP. WAR
activists once again displayed gory pictures of mutilated dogs and
cats as they distributed flyers detailing the connection between
Jean-Pierre and Huntingdon Life Sciences. A promise was made to
return until GSK ends it's bloody relationship with the puppy killing
scum at HLS or until Jean-Pierre is removed from CECP's Board.
The final Wall Street stop was the downtown office of Tradition Asiel
Securities at 32 Broadway. Tradition traded massive amounts of LSRI
stock in 2005. Once again, banners and signs designating Tradition
as Puppy Killers were displayed, drawing the attention of the heavy
pedestrian lunchtime traffic. Hundreds of flyers were distributed to
horrified onlookers.
An interesting note: Later that day we received a phone call from a
woman who had taken one of our flyers about Tradition. She told us
that she had called Tradition and that their OTCBB Market Manager
swore that they had no knowledge of LSRI, that they were not making a
market for LSRI nor had they in the past. We assured her that this
was a bald faced lie and sent her a link to the OTCBB information
site that showed proof positive that Tradition traded 869,873 shares
of LSRI stock in the month of July 2005 alone.
A note to Tradition from WAR: You can lie, but you can't hide. We
know where your 3 New York City offices are and we will not rest
until every one of your neighbors and everyone on "The Street" knows
your dirty secret. We don't want to come to your homes, but we will.
Stop trading LSRI!
