WAR Active Again for the Third Day Launches Pink Sheets Campaign On Sunday, July 9, 2006, a handful of Win Animal Rights activists visited the quaint Greenwich Village, brownstone property of R. Cromwell Coulson. Cromwell is the CEO and Chairman of the Board of the privately held company, Pink Sheets LLC. We attempted to hand deliver an information packet to detail our questions and concerns about Pink Sheets business relationship with LSRI. Despite the windows being open and other signs that the Coulson's were at home, no one answered the doorbell. Out came our 15' graphic banner depicting the cruelty that goes on inside of Huntingdon Life Sciences and out came the first batch of our freshly printed flyers detailing the nature of the relationship between LSRI and Coulson's Pink Sheets. What a great location! Just a short distance from Chelsea Pier and close to a bike path and dog run, there was no shortage of pedestrians (2 legged and 4 legged) as well as bikers on Coulson's previously quiet street. Many of Coulson's neighbors came out to see what was going on. We spoke at length to many of them and distributed a good deal of information. This peaceful, legal and orderly demonstration was very effective as it allowed us to have good conversations with the many neighbors out on the street. Next time we are hoping that we will catch the Coulson's at home. Third visit to HLS CPA John Guttilla Despite the fact that John Guttilla's place is on the far end of Manhattan, we decided that we would travel there in the hopes that we might be able to deliver our information packet to him. Once again, no one answered the door. So, we took our positions at his door and held graphic signs and a banner and distributed hundreds of flyers to supportive neighbors and passersby. Despite the fact that we have been here for 3 days in a row and that our presence has got to be at least somewhat annoying to the Maz Mezcal Mexican restaurant next door, only one diner had an issue with our being there. He left his sidewalk table to speak to protesters and went back to his table with a flyer explaining why we were there. It was gratifying to hear from neighbors how supportive they are of our campaign. Many promised to visit our website and told us that they would be making phone calls or sending letters to John Guttilla. We reminded all that promised to write or call to please keep their communications polite and educational.
