Naming & Shaming NYC Puppy Killers in their Neighborhoods

Demo #1 - Paul Bennett, NYSE Senior Vice President

A dedicated and determined group of WAR activists visited the home of Paul Bennett, Senior Executive with the New York Stock Exchange. Literature was distributed and many of Paul’s neighbors stopped to hear activists speak of the connection between the NYSE and the puppy killers at Huntingdon Life Sciences on the busy corner of 1st Avenue and 88th Street. By enabling Huntingdon Life Sciences to continue in the killing business, the NYSE is as guilty as HLS. Even though the NYSE is not killing animals directly, they have blood on their hands just the same. Paul Bennett’s neighbors understand this and have been very supportive of our efforts.

Demo #2 - Sandra Holleran, Vice President – Bristol-Myers Squibb

Two blocks away on East 86th Street, we next visited the home of Sandra Holleran, executive with Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS). BMS specific flyers were freely distributed to Sandra’s friends and neighbors. Crowds and families on their way home from the park, many of them with their companion animals, stopped to grimace at the bloody and graphic pictures of mutilated animals. Most agreed that there is no need to test on animals in this day and age. Once passersby heard about the beagles being punched in the face and monkeys being cut open alive, most were eager to know what they could do to help stop the killing at HLS.

Demo #3 - John Guttilla – Partner – Rotenberg, Meril, Solomon, Bertiger & Guttilla

The last protest of the evening was the one that was postponed from last weekend when activists happened upon a distressed baby bird who fell from her nest before she could fly. Activists were gratified to know that the baby bird is doing just fine now and waiting until she is stronger before being released in an upstate bird sanctuary.

Sunday evening found Zagat rated E. 86th Street Mexican cantina Maz Mescal overflowing with diners. Many were interested in why we were displaying our bloody banners and posters at a popular Mexican restaurant. This gave us many opportunities to tell about John Guttilla and his firm RMSB&G and how they operated in the shadows for 2 years, in hiding from activists. About how HLS is only company in the USA allowed to have their public accounting done under a fictitious name by a fake and non-existent CPA.

Hundreds of graphic flyers with John Guttilla’s picture were distributed throughout his neighborhood. Many promised to share their upset and concern with him. Must suck to be known as a puppy killing scumbag, like John Guttilla, when your neighbors are all diehard animal lovers.
