NYC Mayor Bloomberg Shows His Arrogance and Antipathy Towards Animals Again

Mayor Abuses His Power and Uses Police to Silence Protest

Twenty-five protesters gathered on short notice at the East 79th Street home of New York’s heartless Mayor Bloomberg. Immediately upon arriving, dozens of police were in evidence. Clusters of coppers were on every street corner and a cadre of officials including Precinct Inspector James Murtagh and none other than Lieutenant “Fat Ass” Albano (apparently he is not retired or dead yet), made sure that protesters were coerced into an area, where they could be neither seen nor heard by the mayor.

Giving further evidence to the fact that free speech and protest are not allowed in New York City, police threatened arrest to any protester who failed to be corralled behind barricades. The barricaded area (think Bush administration “free speech zone”) was so far away from Bloomberg’s residence that 25 loud activists screaming at the top of their lungs could not be heard by the Mayor. One would think that a Mayor who was running for re-election to an illegal third term would be sensitive to the interests of the public. Instead Bloomberg spends his time making snarky remarks to the press about killing the peaceful beautiful geese.

Hiz Heartless Honor, Mayor Bloomberg is just another “HATER” who immediately sanctions killing without even exploring more progressive and peaceful measures. Using taxpayer money, Mr. Billionaire Bloomberg, is on a rampage killing the Canada Geese, just like he terminated the JFK cats, and steadfastly stands behind the thugs that abuse New York City Carriage Horses.

One would think that with such a heartless, cold robotic Mayor representing the good people of New York City that the public would be unsupportive of the demonstrators. Nothing could be further from the truth. Many passersby stopped to chat with protesters, to take some literature and many promised to call the Mayor’s office to register their disgust with his dispassionate respond to the city’s animal residents. You need only stand by the park where Upper Eastsiders and Upper Westsiders walk their dogs to know that they are animal lovers.

One NYC visitor stopped and told the protesters that he works for a company in Michigan that produces a product that is a non-lethal, non-toxic chemical that is a goose retardant. He claims that, if New York City used this product, the geese could be kept away from the airports. Instead Bloomberg’s hit squad will be gassing geese that have nothing to do with the city’s air safety as it has already been proven that the geese that cause the problems for aircraft are migratory geese. Bloomberg’s goons are rounding up resident geese instead.

New chants were added to the demonstrators repertoire……”Killing Geese to Save Face, Mayor Bloomberg You’re a Disgrace” and “You must, you must, you must understand…..the blood, the blood, the blood is on your hands”. Graphic full color posters labeled Bloomberg an “Animal Killer”, “Geese Gasser” and a “Disgrace”. Activists stayed until after 7:30 pm and handed out hundreds of flyers. As they left, they vowed to return again but for security reasons, they did not say when.

After the protest a group of activists, on their way to the subway, stopped in front of Bloomberg’s residence and shouted for several minutes. Loud voices were heard calling……”Shame on you, Bloomberg”…..”You’re A Disgrace” and the group chanted “There’s no excuse for animal abuse….SHAME ON YOU”. Remaining uniformed police looked on not knowing what to do as this was not part of the organized demonstration. Power to the people.
