Friday, May 30, 2008 Boston Vegan Restaurant Tour Turns Into Novartis Day of Action On a recent vegan restaurant tour of Boston, NYC sightseers and activists bumped into Boston activists headed out to Novartis demos. Being as this is the Novartis week of action it's not that surprising to find dedicated animal rights campaigners protesting Novartis offices and homes on a regular basis and the New York activists were more than happy to lend a hand and shame Novartis for their involvement with Huntingdon Life Sciences. Lunch at Buddha's Delight - delicious. The lunch specials are completely the right price and everything's veg. Demo #1 - Novartis Offices, 100 Technology Square, Cambridge Activists converged on the Novartis Offices, catching (and shaming) an entire mob of employees, coming back from a late lunch. "Your Job - YOUR FAULT" screamed the protesters, letting all the Novartis scum know how they felt about them, the partners in torture and death at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Graphic posters documenting the horrific animal cruelty that goes on behind the doors at HLS drew much attention from passers-by and a large "Novartis - Puppy Killers" banner made it clear who the activists were there for. No question, Novartis, it's time to cut your ties to Huntingdon Life Sciences for good. Stop paying them to murder animals! ![]() Demo #2 - Novartis Biomedical Research HQ, 250 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge About a half mile away, activists found themselves at a horrific site: Novartis' HQ of Biomedical Research but activists know that really means "Novartis' headquarters of animal abuse, torture and murder." This site used to house a NECCO (candy) factory, but now just houses cruelty beyond anyone's imagination, corporate greed and blood lust. Activists covered both exits to the building in order to catch and shame all the disgusting perverted animal abusers as they left work for the day and went back to their homes paid in blood money. Some of the scum scoffed, some looked at the posters of mutilated animals and laughed, some saw the protest outside their doors and ran down the street (much to the amusement of activists), and one (the security guard who followed from the previous location) called activists "f*cking pigs" and "animals" while grabbing and fondling his genitals. Good show, Novartis! Animal rights campaigners would expect nothing less than public profanity and lewd sexual deviancy from your employees! ![]() Dinner: Veggie Planet. A great day, followed by a nice planned meal at Veggie Planet... The pizzas are tasty, the ingredients fresh and the service wonderful. The ginger peach Italian soda is highly recommended.
