Triple Play Sunday: WAR Slams Baker, Staples and Novartis Again

Taking the fight to the abusers' doorsteps, 3 demos against Huntingdon Life Sciences on a beautiful spring afternoon in NYC:

Demo #1: Andrew Baker - CEO - Huntingdon Life Sciences

Continuing to apply the pressure to the chief puppy killer directly, activists gathered up to name and shame Andrew Baker at his home Sunday afternoon. Andrew Baker is wholly responsible for the death and destruction at Huntingdon Life Sciences and as long as HLS is brutalizing and mutilating animals, activists will be there to let all of Baker's neighbors know just what kind of a monster lives next door to them.

Central Park West echoed with all the familiar Sunday afternoon noises: cars honking, children playing in the park, subway trains rattling by, and of course loud angry chants of "500 animals died today - Andrew Baker is to blame! 500 animals murdered in vain - Andrew Baker is to blame!"

Activists will be back again and again until Andrew Baker and all the disgusting scum at Huntingdon Life Sciences stop killing animals to test their crappy household products.

Demo #2: Staples - HLS Supplier - 2248 Broadway

Lucky for activists, all the animal abusers in the city seem to live near a Staples store and since Staples was caught out delivering supplies to HLS in unmarked vans, they've been a focal point of the campaign to stop the killing.

Activists lined up outside the Staples at 2248 Broadway to shame them for their stubborn insistence that it's OK to supply terrorists at HLS with their products. Literature was passed out by the bundle as everyone passing by was once again very interested to find out that Staples was directly involved with animal cruelty.

Once again, signs and banners were taken out and gruesome images of animal abuse shocked Sunday afternoon shoppers out of their haze long enough to realize that the Staples name is now synonymous with cruelty and abuse to innocent animals. Staples, it is long past time and you are losing way too much business from this: Issue a letter stating your decision to stop supplying HLS and your commitment to never supply them again. Ron Sargent and Staples: Is supplying people who punch beagle puppies in the face and cut open primates alive without anesthetic an example of your "Staples Soul" ethic? DROP HLS!

Demo #3: Dorothy Watson - General Counsel, Novartis – HLS Customer

A short walk down Broadway brought the animal rights crusaders to their final destination of the day: The much visited home of Dorothy Watson of Novartis. At this location a table was brought out with literature and a DVD player running a loop of the video documented abuse that goes on behind the walls of Huntingdon Life Sciences, drawing floods of passers-by to the activists, all eager to find out who was responsible for abusing animals.

The answer to that is easy: Dorothy Watson is to blame. Her company pays for scientifically fraudulent and inhumane animal tests at HLS. If not for Novartis' contracts, HLS would find it much less profitable to murder animals. Activists worldwide have been focusing on Novartis as they are one of the biggest sources of funding for this hellhole.

Signs, banners and loud angry chants all drew attention to the abuse that Dorothy Watson is responsible for and mobs of people enjoying the nearby holiday festivities came over to find out that animal rights activists were celebrating Memorial Day in their own way: By remembering those who die every day behind the cold concrete walls and steel doors of Huntingdon Life Sciences.
