WAR Turns Up the Heat on Staples and Novartis Despite Heavy Rain

Just like the post office, NYC activists deliver their messages in the snow, sleet, or in this case, the rain.

Demo #1 - Staples @ 2248 Broadway (HLS supplier)

Once again, activists shamed Staples for their involvement with the puppy killing bastards at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Staples has been arrogant and resistant to stop supplying the abusers but activists will never back down on this fight.

Activists know Staples is listening (and reading the reports) since their immature employees did finally stop mocking the protests, but that's not enough to appease the animal rights campaigners. In the rain, they chanted "500 animals died today - greedy Staples is to blame!", with a power and fury - angry that because of Staples' involvement with puppy killers, the monsters at HLS can continue to kill and mutilate animals.

Demo #2 - Dorothy Watson, Novartis, V.P. & General Counsel

A few blocks away is the home of Dorothy Watson of Novartis - activists know this spot well and all of Watson's neighbors are familiar by now with the loud and angry protests that go on outside their building.

Protesters unrolled a large banner depicting the bloodied remains of a beagle puppy who lost her life at HLS, distributed signs featuring unspeakable images of animal cruelty, and named and shamed Watson for her role in the abuse and systematic murder of 500 animals a day. Loud booming chants of "For the cat and for the mouse - We are here outside your house!" could be heard from blocks away.

Demo #3 - Lamberto Andreotti, Bristol-Myers Squibb, President – Worldwide Pharmaceuticals

A short walk over to Central Park West brought activists to their last stop of the day - the luxury building of Lamberto Andreotti, President of Worldwide Pharmaceuticals at Bristol-Myers Squibb. Once again activists pulled out the signs and the mutilated beagle banner so there was no chance of Andreotti's neighbors (one of which is the fur hag Madonna) being confused as to why there was a large group of loud and angry protestors outside of their building.

Literature flew from activists' hands as nearly everyone who passed by was extremely interested to find out what was going on and who was responsible for abusing animals. This is a very supportive spot and activists were given many thumbs-up gestures by supportive pedestrians.

Activists consider that educating the public about the cruelty and the ineffectiveness of animal testing is one of the key goals of this campaign. Much effort is put into providing a concise informative full color flyer in addition to taking the time to fully answer the many questions asked by interested passersby.

Sadly, very few people are aware of the fact that animal testing continues on products like toothpaste, tanning lotion, cleaners and food additives (to name just a few). Most people believe that testing these products on animals is either against the law or, at the very least, highly regulated. Most are horrified to learn that not only is it not illegal, but that the US & UK governments are actively defending these inhumane and anachronistic tests.
