As in years past, Win Animal Rights (W.A.R.) was represented at the Bronx High School of Science Earth Day Festival held at their school on Friday, April 24, 2009. The table was covered with literature on topics ranging from cruelty free and vegan living to the anti-vivisection campaigns that WAR primarily focuses on. Students spoke to representatives, who answered their questions about animal rights and potential activism. This event is one of our favorites, as the students display a keen interest in both animal rights and environmentalism, evidenced in past years events. Without exception, all seemed to be open minded and genuinely interested in the issues. We can only hope that they continue to pursue the truth, especially in regard to animal testing. WAR considers this a very important outreach event, as these students will be the scientists and researchers of tomorrow. We invite them and anyone else interested in the animal testing debate, to contact us with any questions they might have. ![]() | |
