WAR visits market maker Vertical Group

Tuesday evening, April 18th, WAR activists found themselves back in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of stockbroker Rob Schaeffer of the Vertical Group. Vertical Group now appears to be the only market maker that continues to trade LSRI (aka Huntingdon Life Sciences).

As the sun set and the neighborhood began to quiet down, the loud booming voices of activists could be heard up and down the street. Many of Rob's neighbors came to their windows. Rob's windows remained closed, his blinds drawn as if we would go away if we though he wasn't there.

Building residents came down and looked at our graphic banner and posters as if they had never seen them before. Weird neighborhood. We left to chants of “We'll be back” and they know that we will until Vertical stops trading LSRI.

Our other stop was to the posh hi-rise apartment building of Peter Rosten. Literature was distributed to interested building residents. After a short but loud protest, we decided to call it a night as the hour was late. Much to our surprise Peter Rosten approached us as we were leaving and we engaged in a pleasant conversation with both he and his spouse.

Peter convinced us that he and his wife were both supporters of animal advocacy causes. Peter told us many things other that surprised us. We are in the process of confirming his statements and will report back as soon as we get that confirmation
