HLS Customer Novartis and Supplier Staples

Opening Night of BioWindohover Conference

Great turnout in NYC yesterday as 20+ activists gathered to shame HLS collaborators at home, at their jobs and at their fancy biotech conference.

Demo #1: Noemi Rosa, Novartis - International Marketer

Noemi Rosa's fancy building on this normally quiet street was anything but tranquil on Sunday afternoon as animal rights activists showed up to pay her a visit and remind her about her company's dealings with Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). HLS is a vicious and cruel animal testing lab that kills 500 animals each and every day of the week.

Literature was passed out and curious neighbors came to speak to the protestors to find out what was going on. Once hearing the news that they had a brutal puppy killer as a neighbor they were shocked and outraged and swore to talk to Noemi personally and pressure her and Novartis to do the right thing.

Demo #2: Staples - 730 Third Ave. - HLS Supplier

Next stop was a nearby Staples store. Ever since getting caught during covert deliveries to HLS, Staples has been a huge target. Because of name recognition and visibility, the stores have been great locations for loud and angry protests. Mobs of pedestrians come by to find out what the score is with Staples and animal testing and swear to boycott the chain until they stop supplying the killers at Huntingdon.

Once again, Staples employees mocked the demonstration and once again the demonstration got louder and angrier. Perhaps Staples HQ would like to know that their employees laugh and point at pictures of bloodied and mutilated animals - that this is a regular occurrence - and that it does not make Staples, the company, look very good when their employees show so little compassion to fellow earthlings.

Demo #3: Main Event – Opening Night of BioWindhover Conference

Next up was the fancy BioWindhover conference at the Grand Hyatt hotel. So many animal abusers under one roof - it was a smorgasbord of monkey killers and bunny torturers. Novartis, Merck, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb, GlaxoSmithKline, Astrellas and the hated Forest laboratories were just a few of HLS' bloody partners who dared attend.

"500 Animals Died today - HLS is to blame!" shouted the activists, their voices booming and echoing under the awning of the building. "Your money, YOUR FAULT" they yelled, shaming anyone who dared enter the cruelty conference. The Hyatt sits directly adjacent to New York City’s Grand Central Station, a dream location for protests. Hundreds of flyers were distributed and passersby stopped to chat and show signs of support for protesters.

Activists unveiled a new banner, which showed spotlighted logos of the HLS customers attending the conference. Many attendees strained to see if their company’s logo was included on the banner. Some breathed a palpable sigh of relief when they realized that their company was not represented on the banner. The others hung their heads and refused to make eye contact with the angry activists. /p>

Needless to say, anyone who attended this conference got the message that there are still people in this world who care for animals and will do what it takes to get the killing stopped.
