WAR Continues to Pressure HLS Investors - Barclays, Bank of New York Mellon & State Street Targeted

Happy Valentine's Day! Win Animal Rights once again took to the streets to show some love to the thousands of animals trapped inside the hellhole that is Huntingdon Life Sciences. In 1997, undercover investigations began to reveal the torturous conditions inside HLS laboratories. One employee ripped out the eyes of beagle puppy and sent them to his girlfriend with a note stating, "I only have eyes for you. Next he sent her a beagle heart ith a note that said “My heart belongs to you.” This is the madness that goes on behind the locked doors and razor wire fences of Huntingdon Life Sciences. Activists will not rest until this wretched place stops killing animals.

Demo #1: Kevin Baer – Barclays Bank

Protesters returned to the home of Barclays trader Kevin Baer. Activists were loud and clear, voicing their disgust at Huntingdon Life Science's largest institutional investor. Of course someone had to spoil the fun, as one dipshit, er, pedestrian, came over to complain about the state of the economy. "These people need to invest in good companies to make money and support their families."

What a crock! First of all, nobody has to invest in a company that tortures and kills over five hundred animals every single day of the week. Secondly, Barclays is investing in a failing company. LSR stock is in the crapper! No body's making any money from this stock. Maybe if he had actually spoken to activists instead of just ranting and raving, he would have known that. Duurrr!!!

WAR was joined by a guest videographer from the Peoples Movement. Many thanks to Carlos for attending and for documenting the demonstration. The video is linked at the end of this report.

Demo #2: Joy Hou – Barclays Bank

Following Baer, demonstrators marched over to the residence of Joy Hou, another Barclays trader. Before the protest even started the idiocy began as one of Ms. Hou's neighbors walked over as protesters reached for signs. After an initial hello, she then realized what was up and bloated, "She moved out over a year ago!" This is really odd, considering a few months back this same woman said that Hou had just moved out a week before one protest. Are people really this stupid? Maybe it's all the horrible and unnecessary drugs that people are taking?

In any event, the activists were right; one neighbor told them they saw Ms. Hou in the building just a short while ago. Aha!!! Of course the police had to arrive and flex their muscles in an attempt to intimidate activists. "Now this is how it's going to be!' were the first words that came out of one of the officer's mouths. Way to be diplomatic. Activists and the officers clashed over the right to peacefully protest and eventually the former (naturally) won out. First Amendment triumphs once again. The cops, annoyed and embarrassed, drove off in a huff. Nice talking to you!

Demo #3: Christopher Perretta – CIO State Street Corporation

For the next demonstration, all the protesters had to do was walk across the street to the home of Christopher Perreta, Chief Information Officer of State Street Corporation. Shortly after starting, a few individuals came by and spoke to the demonstrators in an attempt to end the protest. With each demonstration, there is always someone that has a sick neighbor, works a night shift, or has to study for an exam. Apologies of course, but protests will continue. The 70,000 animals trapped inside Huntingdon Life Sciences do not get a reprieve, and neither should their enablers.

The activists would rather be inside, enjoying a game of Seinfeld Scene-It, but work needs to be done. If people don't like it, they should take it up with their naughty neighbors. As the protest concluded, one resident from the adjacent building complained that the woman didn't live there anymore. That's funny, since Christopher Perreta is a man. Activists remembered this kind fellow from the previous Perreta demo, as he threatened to assault one of the female protesters. Are these people or neanderthals?

Demo #4: Robert Kelly, Chairman and CEO of Bank of New York Mellon

The day of action ended at the home of Robert Kelly, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank of New York Mellon. As with each protest that day, the amount of positive feedback dwarfed any negative comments, and stacks of leaflets were distributed. One man told an activist that his dog thanked them. Not a problem, sir! Another woman spoke to activists for ten minutes and was shocked to learn that an ostensibly ethical bank would invest in such wanton cruelty.

As the demonstration rolled on, some very shady guys stopped by to take pictures of the activists. No doubt they were rent-a-cops employed by the Bank of New York Mellon to try to intimidate them. Just put the pictures in the WAR file with the other thousand! After exposing those two goons, the activists found a few more BONY lackeys recording the protest from inside their car, parked right next to a fire hydrant, no less. In an effort to cloak themselves (and apparently, to drain their battery) they left their headlights on for the entire demo. The activists thanked them for illuminating the protest. So, we have the Bank of New York Mellon, one of the largest financial institutions in the world, with trillions of dollars in assets, and this is the best they can do? Whoever thought of that idea should be fired!

Whatever scare tactics the “Establishment” throws at them, Win Animal Rights will always be out on the streets to stand up for the voiceless. They will not rest until Huntingdon Life Sciences closes their doors for good.
