WAR Protests HLS Customers & Investors at BIO CEO Conference

By the time activists arrived at the posh Waldorf Astoria Hotel, the place was literally swarming with security and police. Every one of the numerous entrances of the hotel was manned by burly rent-a-cops. We were even graced with the presence of an undercover G-man…..here is a tip just in case they are monitoring our demo reports. When you mumble into your glove and you have a visible earphone, we figure you for a Fed. Also, what’s up with all the photographers? Don’t they have enough pictures of us already? Or, do you think, maybe…..just maybe…..they were trying to intimidate us? Didn’t work. Better luck next time, boys.

Activists greeted BIO CEO Conference attendees to rousing choruses of anti-HLS and anti-vivisection chants. This is one of those rare opportunities, when almost everyone at the conference, is in some way involved in the torture and mutilation of innocent animals. HLS customers GlaxoSmithKline, Novartis and Pfizer were in attendance. One of the conference sponsors was HLS investor Bank of America.

Hundreds of pamphlets were distributed to conference goers and passersby. Information packets including DVDs of the undercover footage “The Truth”. Many stopped to find out what was going on, including sympathetic visitors that were in town for the Westminister Dog Show. Activists also took the opportunity to talk about the evils of dog breeding and to show their disgust to many hags in fur coats. One woman donning a full-length white fur coat looked like a lumbering polar bear. We wonder if that was the look she was going for when she put on the coat???
