WAR Protests HLS Financial Backers
Canal Plus TV (Paris, France) Films Demos

Location #1
The afternoon was spent protesting the scum at Columbia Management, owned by Bank of America and obviously insensitive to the pain and suffering they support by investing in LSRI (HLS). Hundreds of flyers were distributed to Columbia's corporate neighbors. Police were called but didn't even bother to respond. Activists have been at this location several times now and are wonder why this company fails to make an ethical and compassionate choice in the face of peaceful protest. Location #2
A new location was added to our list as a result of leaked information from a co-worker. Jeff Barker – Bank of America, Executive V.P. resides in swanky, posh midtown Manhattan in a luxury hi-rise building. This was our first visit to Jeff. We confirmed the address by hand delivering a packet of information about Huntingdon Life Sciences, which the doorman graciously inserted into Mr. Barker's mailbox and promised that it would be given to him upon his return.
Thirty minutes later, activists returned along with the Canal Plus news crew from Paris, France. Canal Plus is filming a news segment on animal rights and followed WAR on demos for the day.
Activists pressed posters to the expansive glass windows. Someone from building management approached the protest and claimed repeatedly that Jeff Barker did not live in his building. It must have been embarrassing when, in front of the TV cameras, the other doorman came out and admitted that Barker did, in fact, live in the building. What bad liars they are! No doubt we will be back as Barker's neighbors were very interested in what he does for a living.
Location #3
Our third stop of the evening was the luxurious hi-rise building, where Karen Katen of Pfizer has an apartment overlooking the East River. Our loud chanting brought out a good number of Karen's neighbors and they approached us to find out what the noise was all about. Although most were very supportive, one very irate woman screeched that we should go home and leave them alone. We explained that Pfizer contracts with HLS and that 500 animals each day are mutilated and killed. All Karen has to do is get Pfizer to cut their bloody ties to HLS and we will go away. Protesters crossed the street to get closer to the building and stood right outside making for a tense situation, as the doormen didn't know what to do. We'll be back Karen because “we will never back down, until they stop the killing”
